Deem: "Everything Inspires Me"

Deem is an up and coming musician from California that does a little bit of both singing and rapping. From listening to his music and his sound and technique , you can tell that there is so much that inspires this young artist. I feel if you have inspiration around you, take advantage of it and just from speaking to Deem , I got the idea that he takes life lessons, other people's tribulations and even his own to create his music and kind of tell everyone's story and not a lot of people are able to do so. Now of course, there are a few songs that might just make you want to turn up in and out of your seat, but the rode this artist is going on is prosperous and bright. It's encouraging to have artists out there that are there to be a voice for others and for themselves and although there is always room for progression and growth , continue to be what made you to begin with, Deem and good luck on your musical journey.

I got a chance to speak with Deem and ask a few questions:

1) So what inspired you to do music?

"Everything and what I mean by that is everything that has either happened to me or I've seen happen. I feel a story should be told behind it. A lot of artists today are criticized by what they write about and who wrote it for them, now not saying that it doesn't matter because it doesn't. Long story short, seeing the lives of others and pain that they have suffered inspired me to do music. Because not everyone's voice is heard and I could be the one to help their voice be heard. That's enough to satisfy me. Plus, my mom did a little clubbing while she was pregnant with me which might explain my deep love for music."

2)Would you say your sound is different?

" Yea, I definitely think that my sound is a lot different from others out here I haven't really been compared to a lot of artists. Some say August, but others have told me that I have a creative tone of my words."

3)What should everyone expect from you this year?

" A lot of appearances and a lot of music primarily R&B/Trap."
