Robert Thorn III: The Record Exec.

Robert Thorn III is a man of many abilities, from Lexington, NC. From being a record executive and owning Nimbus Universal Records to being an actor. The man is doing his thing! Being that there is so much to do in the entertainment world, he appears to be doing it all. Not only is he the executive of his own record label, Robert is also on the management team for Atlantic Records artist "99 Percent" and "We Are Toonz". On another impressive note, Robert is the first black owner of an open genre, electronic dance music record label. Right now, he has one of the biggest records in the country , DJ Luke Nasty- " Might Be". So go and check that out if you have not heard it as yet, ladies and gents. As far as his acting career, Robert has been exposed to the lights and camera since he was young, appearing in Japanese commericals and videos which opened up more doors for him to explore and get more acquainted with the acting world and even got the oppurtunity to go as far as performing with the diva herself, Mariah Carey. (No, I was not gonna say Beyoncé). Robert also books acts that are mainly prevelant in the South. Robert, you have achieved an abundance of things and many more that I probably couldn't even begin to mention. So, continue to thrive, want more, and do more! I got the oppurtunity to interview Robert and get some background:

1) What enticed you most , or more so got you interested in the music industry ?

"In short I was brought up in this business since 3 years old by my mother Wanda Robinson Caton. She was a singer with Sony Japan through Jett sonic production. Which led to me working with Mariah Carey and MWR So I guess I just continued to do what came natural."

2) What is it that you bring to the table that most executives and/or artist don't ?

"I educate where most executives don't and I teach artist how to build a brand and create net worth outside of the business but yet using this business as a tool to expand their Finacial portfolio."

3) I see that you're also an actor . What made you pursue acting?

"I was in my first film at 5 years old in Japan and I just enjoyed the process and now as a adult I feel like it helps expand my brand and it creates another networking platform."

4) Being that you're crafty in different areas, what will you be doing different this year to maximize your craft ?

"My goal is to build a universal following of minds that overstand our global position as earthlings. I am building my brand to become a political influence for a majority melanated governed country so myself and my cabinet may create new outlets for education and community development."
