Slim: Your Favorite Camera Man

Coming out of Atlanta, Georgia is a very talented photographer by name of Slim and you CANNOT deny his crafty ability to work a camera. As I was looking through his profile, not only did I see that he is very much involved with photogrphy, but also videography.... Yes, I said videography. In my opinion, his work possesses so much quality and he really puts a lot of time and effort into what he does. Slim also owns a multimedia company now that allows him to have creative freedom, which I think is great that besides photography and videography, he builds his own company and still has the oppurtunity to make it about something that he enjoys doing and loves which is standing behind a camera and watching creativity unfold beyond that point. So, Slim, what you're doing is creative and dope. I really believe that with your drive and the motivation you give yourself, you will make it to the top in no time. I got the oppurtunity to speak with the camera man himself and get some background:

1. When did you start photography and what enticed you most about it ?

"I've been doing professional photography for about 4 years now. When I was around 11 yrs old, I saw the movie "Saving Private Ryan" and it made me want to be a filmmaker. I'm not sure if other know how photography and filmmaking correlates with each other, but it's basically the same thing to me once I manipulate the lighting."

2. Is photography and career or a hobby?

" It's definitely BOTH for me. It's calming. Allows me to clear my head and focus. It was something I wanted to do since I was younger, so I was going to do it anyways, but I just so happen to get paid to do it...which is somewhat the icing on the cake."

3. What are some of your greatest strengths as a photographer ?

"I think my best strength is that ppl gravitate to me easily. It makes people more comfortable around me which makes better shoots, in my opinion. I'm pretty easy to get along with lol"

4. What should everyone expect from you this year ?

"Man, that would definitely make this an extremely long article lol. I'll probably work with more nonprofit organizations. I'll be doing a boatload of filming, producing, and directing this year. I'll let you know when I finish the script for my movie."
