Che'rap is a new up and coming female rap artist from New Jersey and I must say that I am very impressed with her music. First and foremost, it is not everyday you come across a female MC that is really trying to create a brand and show that yet, there is another woman out there trying to show that she is just as lyrically talented as any of the male rap artist out here and the few female rappers that are out and popping today. Che'rap definintely has that nice hip hop flow and you can tell that she really enjoys what she is doing and building forward to pursue what it is that she loves and that would be music. You cannot take away the passion and dedication that this young lady has as an artist and she could only go in an upward direction as far as talent and wanting to master her craft goes. So versatile and so much style and wordplay. What I am mainly impressed with is Che'rap's fondness for poetry and her ability to use that and create something more, but coming from a musical background, you have to expect that and respect what she is doing and is going to be doing in the near future , so keep up the good work Che'rap and continue to progress. Look out for Che'rap!!!!!!
I actually had the oppurtunity to chat with the artist and get some background:
1) What inspired you to be a musician ?
"I basically was born into it everyone in my family has a piece of music in them from producing to writing music to beat boxing. For me it went from poetry to music."
2) Would you say that your sound is different from others ?
"Yes, most definitely mostly because I'm a female and my sound is more old school type more Hip Hop."
3) What are some of your greater strengths as an artist ?
"Well for one I'm a fast writer once I hear a beat play once I don't need to hear it again its already in my head. I can also adapt to any beat , techno,r&b,rap, club, just press play."
4) What should everyone expect from you this year ?
"Everyone should expect change. Hip hop is no longer dead #reincarnation."
