Rotten Republic is an upcoming rap group from Long Island City! Group members Louie T , King Sol, and GQ! They are extremely talented and bring something different to the table which is exactly what the hip hop industry needs. They have a super hot song "FOH" , group member GQ also has a a song out called "IDGAF" and it's definitely up there with "FOH". I have to say that I am highly impressed. It will definitely turn you up and get you out of your seats. What I like most about the group, while looking through their profile, is their capabitlity to keep a tight relationship and still use music as a way to bounce their talent off of one another, almost as if they are eachother's inspiration. The sound is dope and I really hope to hear more music from you in the future. Keep doing your thing and making hits. Strive for more and want more. The sky is the limit.
I got the oppurtunity to speak with the group and get some background information:
1) What initially brought the group together for music and For how long have you guys been a group and doing music ?
"What got us together was our Love For Music... Me and King Sol have been childhood friends since like forever.. GQ and Sol was in Info Tech High School together and clicked.. We Record as Solo Artist but when we all work together its magic.. We've been recording together for maybe a year... My Brothers."
2) What are you guys greatest qualities as a group ?
"As a Group.. We become more dynamic.. Its like having Earth Wind And Fire.. The Elements.. Each of us is Comfortable in our own skin.. So the honesty in the music is felt.. No gimmicks .. No Bullshit.. Our Greastest Quailty is Being Real With the Music..."
3) Is music a career or a hobby ?
"Music is our everything.. Its our way of life.. All we got is our passion for music.. Cant say we see ourselves doing anything other than living the Hip Hop Lifestyle Forever.. Music is the Platform for many things to come.."
4) What should everyone expect from you this year ?
"Music .. Videos.. Shows.. We gonna get in this game and fuck it up.. We staying true to ourselves and giving our fans what they want THAT ROTTEN REPUBLIC SHIT... Thanks for having me and shoutout to the Whole Rotten Republic My Bros King Sol And GQ ... Thanks"
